KidZ Days is our gratis programming for children, held outdoors on the MPAC Grounds throughout the summer months on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00AM. This complimentary customs program provides alive performing arts that incorporates an educational component and encourages interactive participation.

An audience evolution initiative, specifically designed to invite underserved families in targeted neighborhoods to attend theater together at least twice throughout the season. This audition development program engages and connects local corporate employee affinity networks with the arts and community-based organizations. Local Veterans groups, African American Analogousness Networks, Hispanic ERG's, and LGBT networks from 2 or more companies attend a prove together, connect with community-based organizations and larn more well-nigh the arts through a pre-prove networking consequence.

Through ArtsConnect, students participate in a summer intensive and workshops throughout the school year, with opportunities to see live performances of featured shows or artists.
This program offers audition grooming, panel discussions with university admissions counselors, one-on-one experiences with local performing artists, specialty workshops on costumes, brand-upwards, lighting/sound, stage direction, Q & A sessions with MPAC staff regarding careers in the arts, vocal and dance chief classes with touring Broadway cast members, and more than!

Heroes Day
Since 1969, when the Marcus Center opened its doors, we have been proud to be a Milwaukee County War Memorial honoring those who bravely served our land. Heroes 24-hour interval honors veterans, as well as shines a spotlight on the many hardworking heroes in our community who have been integral in the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration
The Marcus Performing Arts Center in Milwaukee celebrates Dr. King'southward Birthday annually since 1984. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration programming highlights the youth in our community who every year interpret Dr. King's words through art, speech, and writing contests. In addition, various cultural arts organizations take center stage in Uihlein Hall, demonstrating the excellence of our arts customs.

This annual event focuses on educating our communities about the legacy of César Due east. Chávez, an unselfish advocate of social justice and respect for man dignity. The César E. Chávez Birthday Celebration programming highlights the youth in our community. Building on the success of the Marcus Middle'southward Dr. King Birthday Celebration, we appoint young people from schools throughout the region through art, essay and spoken word contests.
